All of the material in the "Jerry Hahn Method for Jazz Guitar" is derived from thirty years of private teaching, five years of writing columns for Guitar Player magazine and fourteen years as a faculty member at Wichita State University.

Most of the students that come to me are rock guitarists that do not read well and want to learn more about jazz. Therefore, I have tried to write material that would give these players a better understanding of the fingerboard, harmony, progressions and their application to improvising over chord changes.
